MultiClass H and UL models.

Overland or over the weekend.

The classic overland buses, with a wide range of models, perfectly master the balancing act between line quality and traveling comfort. We offer them in two models with different spatial concepts: as a classic UL model for pure overland applications and as a MultiClass H model with a larger luggage compartment, for example, for longer excursions.

Economical all along the line.

With the MultiClass you'll benefit from a pleasingly low total cost of ownership (TCO). For example, several technical features, as well as the cathodic dip coating (KTL) and underbody protection, ensure low maintenance costs, high overall economy and a long service life. You'll also capitalise on the high value retention of a Setra coach or bus. Your Setra contact will be happy to show you how the MultiClass can pay off just for you.

State-of-the-art engines from Mercedes-Benz.

The MultiClass brings performance, economy and environmental protection perfectly all under one roof. And the BlueEfficiency Power engines with common-rail technology and BlueTec 6 exhaust aftertreatment, for example, make the bus an outstanding solution both ecologically and economically.

PowerShift 3 8-speed automatic transmission.

The advanced PowerShift 3 8-speed automatic transmission transfers the enormous power of the OM 470 to the rear axle through precise gear selection and fast gear changes - spontaneously and efficiently. This is due to the improved shift strategy. The PowerShift 3 automation always works in the optimum gear for the current driving situation - therefore reducing fuel consumption.

Safety thanks to ESP.

The MultiClass UL and H models come standard with a comprehensive range of safety equipment. The Electronic Stability Programme (ESP)
Significantly reduces the risk of skidding, by counteracting the vehicle’s swerving through targeted braking of individual wheels.

The Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS)
The Active Brake Assist or Advanced Emergency Braking System kicks in as soon as the foreseen distance from the vehicle ahead or a stationary obstacle falls dangerously below the safe distance. The systems, which exceed today's regulatory requirements, first warn the driver, and if he doesn't react, they independently initiate full braking.

Select between a line or touring front.

You decide whether your MultiClass should be given a line bus character or a touring coach character. For example, choose between the standard straight front for line service and the optional dynamic sloping travel front. Both UL and H models can be equipped with the sloping front.

A line cockpit: functional and ergonomically designed.

High-level ergonomics were important to us when we designed the line cockpit, as proven with the highly adjustable driver's seat. A centrally positioned multifunction display provides information on important data and occurrences, while serving on-board diagnostics.

An interior with line character.

The MultiClass' classic line equipment is highly functional yet exemplary in its class. The heavy-duty "Setra Transit" line seating is very lightweight. This saves fuel and increases your passenger capacity.

A touring cockpit: relaxed and comfortable.

The optional travel cockpit stands out with the high-level comfort it offers. It supports the driver not only at stops, but also ensures relaxed driving on longer trips. A cooler and joystick gearshift are ergonomically integrated to the cockpit, while generous storage compartments and shelves make for a tidy atmosphere. The touring cockpit is available in conjunction with the sloped touring front.

An interior with touring character.

For mixed operation, you can determine exactly how much comfort you want and need. Whether you want an on-board kitchen, WC, service sets or luggage racks with a floor - the options are almost unlimited. The optional "Setra Route" touring seats are as great for excursions as they are in overland transport line. A performance-optimised air conditioning system completes the touring equipment.

Configure the seating as you like.

When it comes to seating, the MultiClass is extremely variable. For example, four individual folding seats can be optionally integrated. When folded up, more space is available for strollers or wheelchairs. Also with a cinema/sliding-seat combination, you can create space for a stroller on the platform as needed.

Several door options.

The choice is yours. Depending on your requirements, you can select a door with a high or low panel (each an option) or for a fully glazed door (as standard). As an alternative to a double-width door, a wide door for entry 2 is available as an option. Of course, all door variants are available with 2- and 3-axle models.

Destination displays.

Choose from a range of different destination displays. LED displays are self-luminous systems, offering a highly visible, strong typeface. Liquid crystal displays (LCD) save on space, are durable – and possess an outstanding font contour. Along with the proven Setra destination displays, many other systems can also be integrated.

Coach smartRadio.

The Coach smartRadio, which is optionally available for the touring and line cockpit, offers a variety of media playback options: e.g. audio streaming via Bluetooth, hands-free calling, prompts with microphone prioritisation and audio playback via USB or SD card.
