MultiClass 400 vehicles feature optimum levels of flexibility and economy. Bus operators can choose from a total of 12 models in this Setra product segment.

With a length of 10.81 metres, the S 412 UL is the most manoeuvrable model. Its compact length makes it ideal for cost-effective regular-service routes in topographically challenging regions with narrow and steep passes. The other vehicles of the MultiClass 400 series are the 12.20-metre-long S 415 UL, the 14.05-metre-long S 417 UL and the 14.98-metre-long S 419 UL. Plenty of luggage capacity, comfortable seats and a versatile range of appointments, such as a galley, toilet and air conditioning system, mean that these vehicles offer the ideal combination of attributes for regular-service and touring operations.

In 2007, Setra launched the S 416 UL, which expanded the product range of the MultiClass 400 with a new vehicle length. Compared with the S 415 UL, the wheelbase of the 13.04-metre-long S 416 UL has been extended from 6080 mm to 6920 mm. This provides space for an even larger luggage compartment capacity, which now totals 5.8 cubic metres.

With the world premiere of the S 415 H and S 416 H, in 2009 Setra launched a new raised-floor bus as a classic double-earner. It is available in 12.20 and 13.04 metre variants with two axles. These new rural-service buses have a major advantage: with the aisle at about 1040 mm above the road, it has been possible to design the vehicle with an attractive luggage capacity of up to 7.9 cubic metres. All vehicles in the MultiClass 400 range were converted to Euro VI engines in 2013. In autumn 2013, Setra extended its product range. With the 12.20-metre-long S 415 UL business, the 12.70-metre-long S 416 UL business and the 13.38-metre-long S 417 UL business, the company unveiled three UL variants in efficient and economical equipment lines that guarantee maximum economy of operation on long-distance routes as well as in school transport service.

The Setra UL business is perfectly suited to tenders for contracts – economical in its acquisition and maintenance, functional in its specification.

Launched in 2014, the two low-entry variants S 415 LE business with a length of 12.33 m and the 13.04-metre-long S 416 LE business combine low-floor and raised-floor technology in a new dimension.
